Overview

Example of a 'bug'

• A broken link or button that does not take you where you expected
• A bug you have found within the components, patterns or examples in the design system
• Updates to documentation or guidance

How to report a bug

If you have found an issue or bug on the service manual, please report it using the following steps:

1. Create a GitHub account  (opens in a new tab) 

If you do not already have one, this should take approximately 5 minutes to setup and you only need to do this once

2. Raise a bug report in GitHub (opens in a new tab) 

The form will ask for the following information so please make sure you have it available:

• Title
• Description of bug
• Expected behaviour / outcome
• Steps necessary to reproduce the bug
• Any additional context
• The version of the ONS design system you’re using
• The device you’re using
• The operating system you are using
• The browser you’re using

3. Submit the form to the Design System team

We will review your submission and get back to you about next steps.
