Ways to get involved

When you suggest a change or propose something new, it is logged in our community backlog.

The Design System team then reviews the proposal. If it is agreed that the proposal meets our contribution criteria, it is moved to the “to do” column.

Anyone in the community can pick up a proposal to develop it.

Categories in the backlog

Items on the community backlog on GitHub (opens in a new tab)  are categorised as:

• proposed - any idea the that has been proposed to the community

• to do - anything the community has agreed should be in the design system

• in progress - is being developed

• in review - needs to be reviewed before publishing

• published - is live in the design system

• not doing - any proposal we have decided not to include in the design system
